The Ranao Multimedia Development and Training Center was successfully operating in 037 Bo. Green, PMTC Bldg. ground floor, Marawi City with hundreds of enrolled students during the school year 2016 - 2017. The facilities were all intact such as computer laptops, printing, studio, hardware, etc. that the students used for their training.

However, due to the Marawi Siege happening unexpectedly, we left everything in our training center just to run for our lives from the armed conflict between the Maute group and Philippine Military.

 

We were internally displaced together with other members of the Board of Trustees and had to seek shelter in evacuation areas in Iligan and Cagayan de Oro City. ​

After more than one year of being displaced, we were finally permitted by the government to return to our homes for those who reside in non-affected areas. But, as can be seen in the video above, our training center was in total disarray, no computers survived, all training equipment had been looted and even our RMDTC files and certificates could no longer be retrieved. The business totally came to a halt. ​

But because of the sincerity of RMDTC Administrations to recover the lost establishment, we have decided to start all over again in order to help our fellow Maranaos to have moral recovery and help them through our short computer courses for them to use for immediate employment. The RMDTC is now partially operating through online courses, computer workshops, etc. that can help for the people of the Bangsamoro. In sha Allah we can also administer training after all the past devastation and we will be able to normally operate as a training center once again.
